2018 Mid-Atlantic ESA Annual Meeting

2018 Mid-Atlantic ESA Annual Meeting
The annual meeting brings together students, researchers, teachers and practitioners from the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. We will explore current ecological issues related to urban areas that range from ecological restoration, conservation, biodiversity, ecological effects of climate change, topics in human ecology and environmental justice. The meeting offers an excellent opportunity for both undergraduate and graduate ecology students to present their research.

We will be visiting Liberty State Park and the New Jersey Meadowlands to explore the unique ecology and learn how the natural and anthropogenic history shaped the environment we see today. These places were selected not only because of their uniqueness but because a wide range of research has been conducted over the years at both parks. Both locations have views of the New York City skyline and will have opportunities to bird for those interested.

*** Please note that as lunch is not provided, we will stop at a local venue for food. Limited van seating is available, however participants may also provide their own transportation.
